The 2005-2007 production Cobalt SS and Ion Redline is prone to wheel hop under hard accelerations, which can lead to axle and transmission failure.
This Axle utilizes much stronger components to create a package that will be less susceptible to the wheel hop condition and in turn be less likely to damage axles or transmissions.
Note: These are the same half shaft's used in the GM 19211782 Wheel Hop Kit.
